Our Mission

Empyreal Equine Mission

Horses. Homesteading. Education. Second Chances.

Empyreal Equine exists to create a practical, sustainable life centered around horses, land, and community.

Through our work at Roundabout Farm, we seek to support responsible horse keeping, encourage thoughtful stewardship of the land, share what we grow and make, and create opportunities for horses and people to find better paths forward.

Our long-term vision includes fostering and retraining horses in need, helping them become confident partners, and matching them with families who are the right fit for their individual needs.

We believe that good horsemanship begins with education, observation, preparedness, and a willingness to keep learning.

Our Goals

1. Build a sustainable farm-based business.
Grow and make useful products, share our harvest through local farmers markets and farm-stand sales, and create diverse income streams that help support the horses, the farm, and our future projects.

2. Give horses second chances.
As our resources and experience grow, foster and retrain horses in need and help connect them with carefully matched homes where they can thrive.

3. Encourage practical, thoughtful horse keeping.
Share what we learn about natural horse keeping, preparedness, pasture management, equine wellness, trail riding, and practical horsemanship through community connections, educational resources, and hands-on experience.

4. Keep learning alongside our horses.
Continue developing our own skills in trail sports, positive reinforcement training, and Mounted Search & Rescue while creating opportunities to put those skills to meaningful use.

5. Build a life that supports the mission.
We believe a sustainable mission must also be sustainable for the people doing the work. Our goal is to build a small business that allows us to spend more time caring for our animals, tending our land, serving our community, and doing work that has meaning.

Project Tommy's Stall

A space dedicated to second chances.

Project Tommy's Stall was inspired by my childhood pony, Tommy.

I watched Tommy be born when I was four years old. For the next 29 years, he was my companion, teacher, and best friend. Together, we shared more adventures than I could ever count before I eventually had to say goodbye.

When I thought about how I wanted to honor his memory, I knew I wanted his name to continue being part of the life of our farm.

So Tommy's stall was dedicated to horses who need a little extra time, patience, and love while they find their next chapter.

Our hope is that, as Empyreal Equine grows, Project Tommy's Stall will become a place where at-risk horses can be fostered, restarted, and given the opportunity to discover their strengths before finding the people who are right for them.

It won't be about saving every horse.

It will be about helping the horses we can help—and doing it thoughtfully.

The horses who pass through Tommy's stall will carry his legacy forward: a reminder of the extraordinary bond that can grow between a horse and a person when there is time, trust, patience, and love.

Help Us Build Tommy's Legacy

Project Tommy's Stall is a long-term goal of Empyreal Equine. As the farm and business grow, a portion of our resources will help make it possible to provide feed, veterinary care, farrier care, training, supplies, and a safe place for horses who need a second chance.

Whether you support us by purchasing something at the farmers market, bidding in a tack auction, buying a secondhand book, sharing our work, or someday helping a horse find their next home, you are helping us build toward that goal.

One horse. One stall. One second chance at a time.
